Interesting turn of events…I checked brix again today. Prairie Star continued it’s upward trend and measured at 21.47. I will likely harvest the Prairie Star grapes this week and get them fermenting.
The Frontenac on the other hand measured at 20.67. This is down a bit from the last measurement. There could be a number of factors involved including: user error , recent rainfall or bad sample. I plan to measure them again this week as I expected them to be closer to 24.
Also, I will be posting a winemaking update sometime this week. I am in the process of cleaning and prepping the equipment.
